Man rescued after jumping off railroad trestle to avoid oncoming train in Mascot

The Knox County Rescue Cave and Vertical Team responded to a rescue Saturday afternoon after a man, who was attempting to cross a railroad trestle, jumped off the track to avoid an oncoming train.

That man fell approximately 20 feet, striking an old trestle underneath and injuring both ankles.

The cave team successfully lifted him to an ambulance and he was transported to a local ambulance.
