Man’s body pulled from Douglas Lake

DANDRIDGE (WATE) – The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency says a man’s body was recovered Thursday from the Indian Creek area of Douglas Lake.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and Cocke County Sheriff’s Office are also investigating. TWRA spokesman Matt Cameron says the body is that of a white man, but he is not able to release his name. The man went missing sometime Sunday afternoon.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death. The case is under investigation.Related story: Body recovered in Douglas Lake incident

The body of John King, 76, was pulled form the lake on Saturday after a five-day search. He had jumped into help a child who was struggling to swim.
