MAP: Track Hurricane Dorian as it heads for Southeast coast

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – Use this map to track the location and path of Hurricane Dorian as it heads toward Florida and the Southeast coast.

Forecasters said Dorian is expected to bulk up into a dangerous Category 3 storm, meaning winds of at least 111 mph (177 kph), or perhaps even a catastrophic Category 4, at 130 mph (209 kph) or more, before broadsiding the U.S. on Monday somewhere between the Florida Keys and southern Georgia — a 500-mile stretch that reflected the high degree of uncertainty this far out.

As of late Thursday morning, Dorian was centered about 220 miles (355 kilometers) northwest of San Juan, Puerto Rico, its winds blowing at 85 mph (140 kph) as it moved northwest at 13 mph (20 kph).
