LEBANON, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Wilson County woman who didn’t know she was pregnant had the surprise of a lifetime when she gave birth to a baby boy at her home Wednesday night.

Nicole Harris told News 2 she went to the bathroom because she was not feeling well but quickly realized she was having a baby.

She said she got into the bathtub where she gave birth to a healthy baby boy who weight 6 pounds, 7 ounces.

“I sat in the tub. I just [thought] that would be a safe spot and not on the floor or whatever,” Harris said.

Harris said she was shocked when she delivered the baby because she had no pregnancy signs or symptoms.

Harris’ boyfriend, Jeremy Hill, said he was already in bed asleep when his girlfriend gave birth. She woke him up to call 911 after she cut the baby’s umbilical cord.

“When I woke up, she had a baby in her arms,” Hill recalled.

Some of their friends are gathering baby items for them since they did not know they were expecting.

Both Harris and Hill have children of their own but Jeremiah is the couple’s first.
