KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The bright lights of the Tennessee Theatre turned on for the first time 93 years ago on Oct. 1, 1928. The theater has hosted radio shows, operas, symphonies, rock concerts, gospel choirs, Broadway shows, legendary Hollywood movies, comedians and music legends through the years.
