KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) – Kingsport Police are investigating after video recorded of a child inside a church the family of Summer Wells attends was posted on YouTube. According to a report, officers were told Sunday that a woman posted footage of a child at the church to YouTube. That video has been taken down, police said.

Summer Wells was reported missing from her home in the Beech Creek community on June 15. The Wells family has been under intense scrutiny by investigators and the public since Summer Wells went missing.

The police report filed by an unnamed person says the recording incident occurred Saturday, Jan. 8 in Kingsport. When asked, father Don Wells confirmed an incident had occurred at the Kingsport Seventh-Day Adventist Church but did not provide further comment.

Several parts of the report are redacted because it contains information about an underage child. The unnamed complainant says in the report that the woman accused of making the video made accusations of kidnapping during the recording. It is not known who was being accused.

Don Wells spoke Monday about recent experiences with protesters who had come to the family’s home and also followed him and Candus Bly Wells, Summer’s mother, to a work site. In a video taken by Don Wells, the protesters can be seen yelling profanities and making accusations regarding Summer’s disappearance.
