Quality concerns prompt applesauce recall

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (WATE) – Food product residue has prompted GoGo SqueeZ to voluntarily recall products at its Traverse City, Michigan facility.

GoGo Squeez said the recall affects applesauce pouches with Best Before Dates between December 4, 2015 and March, 4, 2017. Replacement vouchers are available online or by calling 1-844-275-5841.

In order to determine if the non-organic applesauce GoGo squeeZ is included in the voluntary recall, check the packaging:

Michel Larroche, Founder and CEO of GoGo SqueeZ said Michigan State Department of Agriculture and Development found food product residue in two product pumps during an inspection. The facility has been shut down while officials investigate and fix the problem.

“Many of you know that last year we had a recall for a different reason, and as a result, we understand you may be losing patience with us,” said Larroche. “We have worked hard to earn your trust, and we are taking action to make sure we continue to deserve it. As a part of this commitment Bill Graham, our President, and I will be intimately involved in making the changes necessary to deliver on our promise. I can’t begin to express how sorry we are that this happened, and we appreciate your patience and support.”
