HAMBURG, Germany (WCMH) — One company is looking to bring saddle-seats to your flying experience.

According to CNET, at the Airliners Interiors Expo in Germany, the Italian company Aviointeriors introduced the Skyrider 2.0, which looks more like a roller coaster seat than what you’d see in an airplane.

Aviointeriors tells CNN, the SkyRider 2.0 “ensures an increased upright passenger position, allowing installation of the seat at a reduced pitch, while maintaining an adequate comfort.”

CNET reports the seat only has about 23 inches between seats, and is designed for the economy cabin.

The company also says that the seats will allow airlines to increase passenger numbers by 20 percent.

However, some aircraft specialists say the seat could cause delays in emergency evacuations and there’s limited space underneath the seats for personal items.
