Sevier County burn ban in effect until ‘significant rainfall’

SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) – Fire officials in Sevier County have issued a temporary burn ban.

Authorities are asking residents to avoid lighting any fires or open burns. Fire officials in the county say dry weather has created conditions where open burning is too hazardous.

The burn ban will stay in effect until there is significant rainfall.
