SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — Crews have contained a brush fire on Shell Mountain, near Jones Cove Road, according to the Sevier County Emergency Management Agency.

Around 7:30 p.m., Sevier County EMA released that the fire approximately three-acre fire had been 100 percent contained.

In total, five structures were threatened by the fire, but none were damaged.

Sevier County EMA said crews would continue to monitor the area overnight, adding that residents and visitors may still see and smell smoke over the next few days.

Around 5:10 p.m., Sevier County Government shared that the fire was estimated to be two to three acres in size. Crews were also working to protect other structures in the Autumn Ridge fire.

No official evacuations have been ordered, but the county warned residents in the area to be aware of their surroundings.
