KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – One person has died after a piece of work equipment overturned in Sevierville on Monday.

The person has been identified as 20-year-old Gabriel Rodrigues, of Pigeon Forge.

Sevier County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Chief Jeff McCarter said Monday that Rodrigues was operating the forklift and died after it rolled off a driveway and down an embankment at a home in Leslie Way on Shell Mountain Road.

The Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration said Tuesday they are investigating the workplace fatality.

Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to the scene.
