A portion of State Road 115, also known as Calderwood Highway, in Blount County near Chilhowee Dam has been reopened Thursday after a rockslide occurred on Wednesday.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation reported Wednesday that the state road was closed between Foothills Parkway and Tallassee Road. TDOT crews were on site and removed 39 truckloads of rockslide material, according to TDOT’s Mark Nagi.
One lane was reopened by 3 p.m. Wednesday using flagging operations. As of 8 a.m. Thursday, all lanes had been reopened.
