Storms bring reports of large hail in Sevier County, other parts of E. Tenn.

SEVIERVILLE (WATE) – Pop-up thunderstorms moving through East Tennessee Tuesday evening resulted in several reports of hail, some as big as 1.5 inches in diameter, and coming down so hard in spots that it looked like snow.

Video submitted by Gatlinburg resident Stacy Champagne shows hail raining down and piling up on vehicles in the driveway.

Several other people in parts of Blount and Knox counties also shared their photos of hail. National Weather Service storm reports indicate up to 1.5 inch hail in parts of Sevier and Blount counties. Some downed tress and power lines were also reported.Slideshow:Hail in East Tennessee
