TDOT: one lane of I-75 N in Campbell County opened

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – One lane of I-75 N in Campbell County was re-opened Thursday, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.

The route reduces to one lane starting at mile marker 141. Drivers are advised to use caution while on the road. Roadway crews will still be making repairs.

A rock slide in February caused the roadway in Campbell County to shut down. One hundred and forty-two vehicle-sized rocks fell down onto the interstate.

TDOT recently re-opened the southbound lanes. Drivers travelling northbound were only able to use the Exit 134 detour until Exit 141 was re-opened to local traffic earlier in March.

TDOT hopes to re-open both lanes of I-75 by April 15.
