KODAK (WATE) – The Tennessee Smokies say they’ve found the face of their ball club: all-star player Will Ferrell.

The Smokies say offering Ferrell a player-coach contract was a no-brainer, citing the fact that he can play first base while simultaneously coaching third for the Chicago Cubs.

Ferrell would be paid at least partially in meatloaf and the other four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corn and syrup.

Ferrell posed as a major league player Thursday, playing ten different positions in five different Cactus League games to help raise money for Cancer for College and Stand Up To Cancer.
