A 2.8 magnitude Earthquake was reported in Middle Tennessee Tuesday night.
The earthquake was reported a little after 8:30 p.m. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the epicenter was near Shelbyville, Tennessee.
This is just one of many small earthquakes that have been felt in Tennessee since Dec. 12, 2018.
On December 12, Decatur was also the epicenter of two earthquakes, 4.4 and 3.3 in magnitude. Several aftershocks were also recorded following the two initial tremors.
This is the latest small quake in a string of seismic events in East Tennessee.
