A 3.6 magnitude earthquake hit northwest Tennessee early Wednesday morning.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the epicenter was 7.5 miles north northwest of Dyersburg and 30.4 miles from Blytheville, Arkansas with a depth of nearly nine miles. It was also felt to the north in Missouri and Kentucky.

The quake happened just before 6 a.m. and was felt in parts of northeast Arkansas.

A woman in Covington, Tennessee told our Memphis sister station that it shook enough to wake her up.

The seismometer graph from The University of Memphis Center for Earthquake Research and Information (CERI) shows in green when the quake hit.
