A man accused of shooting and killing his wife inside a Colonial Heights dentist office has been released from the hospital and booked into jail.

The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office confirms 63-year-old Harry Weaver was booked into the Sullivan County Jail in Blountville on Sunday.

Weaver is accused of fatally shooting his wife, 53-year-old Kelly Weaver, at Dr. David Guy Dentistry, where she worked.

During the alleged shooting, a patient with a carry permit shot the gunman and held him until law enforcement arrived, according to investigators.

The sheriff’s office previously said Weaver would be charged with first-degree murder and three counts of aggravated assault.
