Middle Tennessee mother, baby rescued from storm drain

Tennessee

A Middle Tennessee mother and her baby are recovering after they fell into a storm drain Thursday night.

The two fell after attending an after school event at a high school in Clarksville, which is is north-west of Nashville.

According to police, the storm drain gave way while the woman was walking across. The woman and her baby fell 20 feet below.

First responders were able to get to them by going through a different entrance to the drain. The woman was airlifted to the hospital and her condition is not known at this time. The baby does not appear to have any serious injuries.
