TBI: Teen allegedly kidnapped by boyfriend found safe, suspect in custody

UPDATE: Maricsa Beltran-Lopez was recovered in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and is safe. German Rodriguez was taken into custody.

Police and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation are looking for a missing teen after they said she was kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend.

Officials said an arrest warrant has been issued for 19-year-old German Rodriguez for kidnapping 16-year-old Maricsa Beltran-Lopez from McGavock High School Thursday.

Police said Rodriguez had been harassing her, following her, and showing up at her school. The two have a child together.

Authorities say Beltran-Lopez and Rodriguez were last seen in the Tri-Cities area at a Comfort Inn, but State Troopers reported the couple was gone when they got there.

The two are believed to be traveling in a gold 2000 Honda Civic with TN tag W0789X.
