Tennessee woman killed in Ohio officer-involved shooting; Boyfriend arrested

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN/WDTN) – A Tennessee woman was shot and killed in an officer-involved shooting in Ohio on Monday.

Ashley Sides was killed in Brookeville, about 300 miles northeast of Cookeville, where she’s from.

While details surrounding the shooting are limited, WDTN reports officers responded to an incident with two cars on the freeway, which ultimately led to a crash.

At some point, shots were fired involving police. One officer was wounded, and Sides was killed in the shootout.

Her boyfriend, Conrad Davis, was arrested.

Davis is a former member of the U.S. Marine Corps but was kicked out because “the character of his service was incongruent with Marine Corps’ expectations and standards,” according to a statement from the U.S. Marine Corps.
