20-year-old Theodore Baskette of Madison Tenn, 18-year-old Domenick Everett Barshaw of Nashville, Tenn, and 18-year-old Christopher Smart of Tenn, were arrested after being found with nine guns and a lot of ammunition.
The Brockton Police Department reported that they arrested the men and seized the illegal weapons due to a tip from an “alert citizen.”
The caller alerted the police that they had spotted someone with a gun near 35 Longworth Ave., according to BPD.
As the officers arrived, the three men were spotted sitting in a car parked at the home. The officicers saw a handgun and several bullets and magazines inside the vehicle. Upon further search of the vehicle, officers found, face masks, two Kevlar gloves, red handkerchiefs, and several weapons in the trunk. None of the men had a license to carry the weapons in the vehicle.
Barshaw and Baskette were charged with possession of a firearm without a license and illegal possesion of ammunition, while Smart was charged with illegal possession of a large-capacity feeding device.
BPD is unaware of their reasoning for having all of these weapons and ammo and why there were all the way up in Massachusetts; this is still under investigation.
