Knoxville Police: 1 injured in Selma Avenue shooting, 2 separate scenes investigated

One person was injured in a shooting Saturday night on the 3300 block of Selma Avenue 

Knoxville Police responded to the call around 9:05.

The victim has been identified as Emory Johnson, 19. He was transported to UT Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. His condition is unknown at this time.

During the course of the investigation, KPD’s Gang Unit responded to the 2700 block of Jefferson Avenue. An officer on the scene said that this was related to the Selma Avenue shooting, according to a WATE 6 On Your Side photographer. The gang unit’s focus was on a white car, which was eventually towed to KPD’s impound lot.
