KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Knoxville Police Department is investigating after a man’s body was found Wednesday morning near the intersection of North Broadway and Atlantic.

KPD says that at around 7:04 a.m., officers responded to a report of an unresponsive person. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the adult man had died.

KPD Investigations Bureau detectives, Crime Lab personnel and personnel from the Medical Examiner’s Office also responded to the scene.

“There were no obvious signs of foul play, though cause of death has not yet been determined,” KPD news release states. “The identity of the deceased is being withheld at this time and the investigation is ongoing.”
