Man charged with murder in fatal Gov John Sevier Highway stabbing, victim identified

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – A victim of a fatal stabbing has been identified and Knox County man has been charged with murder, authorities announced Monday.

Robert Logan, 22, has been charged with second-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of Adam Cole Saturday night. 

Knox County Sheriff’s deputies found Cole dead at a home in the 900 block on East Governor John Sevier Highway around 11:30 p.m. Saturday. Cole had been stabbed multiple times, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

Early investigations determined Logan and Cole were on the house’s front porch when they became involved in a physical altercation. 

Logan was taken into custody and transported to Knox County Jail. 

Cole’s remains were transported to the regional forensics center. The Knox County Medical Examiner, KCSO Major Crimes Unit and other officers were at the scene early Sunday.
