KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The victim from the fatal shooting in the Catalpa Avenue has been identified as Donald Busby, 48, of Knoxville, Tenn. He would be 50 years old in 2022.

Officers found Busby at 4010 Catalpa Ave., after his car crashed, according to Knoxville Police Department. He was suffering from a gunshot wound and transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center.

Busby was pronounced dead at the hospital.

KPD said that no suspects have been arrested or charged at this time. Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit are pursuing active leads that have been developed in the course of the investigation.
