Four escape North Knox County house fire

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – Rural Metro Fire was on the scene of a house fire in Knoxville just before 10 p.m. Friday.

Fire crews were fighting a fire at a home on the 7500 block of Inverrary Circle in North Knox County.

The house itself suffered heavy heat and smoke damage. At last check two cats were unaccounted for.

Four people were able to escape the home without injury.

According to Rural Metro, a neighbor told the occupants that they noticed the fire and were able to alert them in time for them to evacuate.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
