Suspect arrested after fatal Knoxville shooting

A man was arrested after a fatal shooting in Knoxville. 

Elijah Bowman was arrested by police on Monday evening. He faces charges for first-degree murder and is being held on a $300,000 bond. Also, he faces charges for a violation of sho cap. 

The shooting happened at a home on the 6100 block of Western Avenue around 8:15 p.m. Sunday. 

The victims were transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center. 

The Knoxville Police Department says Abdul Tahir, 18, and Deantrea Woods, 19, were transported to UT Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries. 

Denise Stevens, 29, was pronounced dead at the hospital. 

Investigators say children were inside the home during the shooting but they were not injured. 

Police are looking for more suspects.
