Tuesday marks general election voting registration deadline

Elections are just around the corner and they’re a big deal with even the president visiting East Tennessee to drum up excitement. 

Voters will be going to the polls on November 6th if they’re registered.

To vote in Tennessee elections, you must be a registered voter in the state by the October 9 voter registration deadline. 

If you want to register, or to make sure you are registered, there are resources to help you. Either by mailing in your registration, going to your county election office or registering online.

Tennessee ranked 49th in voter turnout and 45th in voter registration in 2016, according to Pew’s Election Performance Index.
