KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Some roads in East Tennessee are closed because of the dangerous cold weather. Here is a list.
Great Smoky Mountains National Park
- Foothills Parkway West
- US Hwy 441/Newfound Gap Rd from Gatlinburg TN to Cherokee NC is closed temporarily because of snow and ice
- Laurel Creek Road closed at the Townsend Wye because of ice
Note: Around 12:30 p.m. Saturday, the GSMNP said that Laurel Creek road from the Sugarlands Visitor Center to the Townsend Wye and the “New” section of Foothills Parkway West were open but to watch for snow and ice.
