KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Despite the delay at the USA Cycling Race on Sunday, Quinn Simmons won the men’s Professional Road Race Championship.

Simmons finished the race in 3:53:16 time after 15 laps. Following behind him were Tyler Williams, Tyler Stites, Brandon McNulty and Samuel Boardman in the top 5.

The men’s race was scheduled for 2:30 p.m. after thunderstorms came through East Tennessee. According to USA Cycling, the race will be shortened from the original 17 laps.
