World War II Veteran Joe Cuba had one wish for his birthday this year; 100 birthday cards.

A photo of Cuba holding a sign with his address was posted online by the executive director at his assisted living facility and word about his wish spread fast, receiving positive feedback.

On Thursday, the assisted living facility’s executive director said he had received more than 30,000 cards and counting.

“The mailman just walked in with 14,000 cards,” said the executive director.

The 99-year-old who lives at an assisted living facility in Wichita Falls will turn 100-years-old on Saturday.
