KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Fulton High School will honor Zaevion Dobson on their football field, according to the school’s athletic director.
Dobson, 15, was shot and killed in December while protecting two of his friends. The shooting was later confirmed to be gang-related, according to police, and Dobson was an innocent bystander.
Fulton AD Jody Wright says their new field will honor Dobson with a number 24 jersey painted on the field at the 24 yard line. The field and the memorial are expected to be completed by the 2016 football season.More coverage: Zaevion Dobson
