Alcoa's Gary Rankin reflects on Hall of Fame career

Alcoa, Tenn. (WATE) - Tuesday night, Alcoa High School's Gary Rankin enters the Greater Knoxville Sports Hall of Fame as part of the 37th class of inductees. It's just the latest great honor for the iconic coach. Rankin is the TSSAA's all-time winningest coach with 410 victories, and was inducted into the TSSAA Hall of Fame in 2011. He has 13 state championships, nine of those coming with the Alcoa Tornadoes, and has reached the state title game 19 times in 28 seasons as the head coach at Murfreesboro's Riverdale and Alcoa. WATE Sports traveled to Blount County to get his thoughts on his Hall of Fame career.
