Bryant goes 0-2 in second rehab start

World Series Champion Kris Bryant went 0-2 on Tuesday afternoon as the designated hitter in the second game of his rehab assignment with the Tennessee Smokies.

Bryant, who’s been out of the Cubs lineup since June 22 with a left shoulder injury, struck out in the first, followed by a pop fly to left in the second before leaving the game. The Smokies fell to the Montgomery Biscuits 4-3 in 11 innings.

Bryant is expected to rejoin the Cubs in San Francisco as they wrap up a three game series with the Giants.
