Ice Bears gearing up for weekend of fun with teddy bears and weiner dogs

The Ice Bears are gearing up for a weekend of fun  – which will include a fan favorite. 

This weekend, Dec. 14-16, the team has a lot planned for its hockey fans, which comprise the second-highest attendance rate in the whole league. 

Friday night will feature the Teddy Bear Toss, where thousands of bears will be thrown by fans into the rink for a good cause. 

Saturday night will be the fan favorite: the annual Weiner Dog Races! So far, there have been 60 dachshunds registered for the three heats of races on the ice. New this year, light-up LED collars. 

Sunday will feature a Kid’s Open House where they can tour the newly remodeled hockey offices, shoot pucks out on the ice, win prizes in the gift raffle. and meet your favorite Ice Bears players! And, Chilly Bear will also be there.
