KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – Former Lady Vol Evina Westbrook is apparently now a Husky.
In a Friday evening tweet, Westbrook revealed she is heading to the University of Connecticut to play with the UConn Huskies women’s basketball team, one of the most successful programs in the nation with a record 11 NCAA Division 1 National Championship wins. Westbrook had announced her intent to transfer from the University of Tennessee in April.

Westbrook came to Tennessee as one of the most highly-touted of the 2017 class. She was ranked as the No. 2 overall player and the No. 1 guard in the 2017 class by both espnW and prospectsnation.com. She was named the 2017 USA Today National High School Player of the Year.
