KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – Tennessee coach Jeremy Pruitt and the Tennessee Vols are counting down to Saturday’s Orange and White game at Neyland Stadium.
Vols outside linebackers coach Chris Rumph worked with Pruitt at Alabama and now at Tennessee. He said he’s seen a difference in the Vols head coach.
“I see a calmer guy … I’ve seen a confidence in the staff. I’ve seen a confidence in the player. I see a star emerging,” Rumph said.
The Vols hold their spring game, the Orange and White game, at 6 p.m. It will be televised on the SEC Network.
How does a first-time Division I position coach from Alaska to become the nation’s top recruiter? We got a chance to ask Brian Niedermeyer that very question.
Niedermeyer is credited with landing half of Tennessee’s top 12 recruits in 2019, He the real credit belongs with Jeremy Pruitt and the entire staff.
“I don’t think it ever specifically relies on me,” Niedermeyer said. “I’m just one small cog in the Tennesee staff and a I truly believe that.”
