Lady Vols win regular season finale

After suffering their first ever home loss to Vanderbilt on Thursday, the Lady Vols ended the regular season in Oxford with a dominant 81-56 win over Ole Miss.

Meme Jackson, who has gone 0-6 from three point range in the last four games, finished with team high 20 points. Jackson posted her most efficient game of the season shooting 70 percent from the field including 5-6 from the perimeter.

Fellow Lady Vol Senior Cheridene Green added 13 points with seven boards and four assists. Rennia Davis also chipped in 13 while Mimi Collins, Evina Westbrook and Zaay Green all added nine points.

Ole Miss guard Crystal Allen led the Rebels with 30 points.

With the win, the Lady Vols finish the regular season with an 18-11 record, 7-9 in SEC play.

Tennessee awaits the final of the Arkansas, Texas A&M game for their SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament seeding.
