No. 1 Tennessee extended its winning streak to a program-best 17 games with a 72-60 win over Missouri on Tuesday at Thompson-Boling Arena.
The Vols (21-1, 9-0 SEC) remain the only undefeated team in SEC play. The win gives the Vols a sweep over Tigers, as Tennessee took care of Missouri in a 24-point win on Jan. 8 in Columbia. The game also marked former Vols head coach Cuonzo Martin’s first game back on Rocky Top since leaving the program in 2014.
Tennessee had four players score in double figures on Tuesday. Admiral Schofield and Grant Williams, who both were named to the Wooden Award late-season Top 20 list earlier in the day, finished with a team-high 13 points. Jordan Bowden chipped in 12 while Jordan Bone added 11 with 7 assists.
Tennessee continues its homestand Saturday when the Vols welcome Florida to Thompson-Boling Arena at 4 p.m. on ESPN.
