No. 6 Tennessee rolls past Eastern Kentucky 95-67

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – No. 6 Tennessee used 49 first half points to roll past Eastern Kentucky 95-67 on Wednesday in what was the 500th all-time game the program has played at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Grant Williams and Admiral Scholfield combined to score 41 points and 15 rebounds thanks to Williams’ game high 11 boards.

Tennessee pulled down 33 rebounds compared to 16 for the Colonels (3-4) in the first half. The 33 rebounds were Tennessee’s most in a half this season.

Yves Pons, a sophomore from Fuveau, France, made his first career start for the Vols, finishing with a career high 10 points.

Tennessee (5-1) remains at home on Sunday when Texas A&M-Corpus Christi comes to town at noon.
