Former Tennessee defensive line coach and interim head coach Brady Hoke has a new job.
Hoke is making the jump to the NFL, where he will serve as the Carolina Panther’s new defensive line coach, according to Sporting News.
Hoke, 59, spent one season on Rocky Top under former Vols head coach Butch Jones. When Jones was fired in November 2017, Hoke was named interim head coach. He was 0-2 as the interim head coach, losing to LSU and Vanderbilt.
Hoke was not retained when Jeremy Pruitt was hired as Tennessee’s head coach.
Prior to his time in Knoxville, Hoke was the defensive coordinator at Oregon. This is his first NFL coaching job.
