Vol Nation is undoubtedly preparing to make the trip to Columbus, Ohio, later this week where the basketball team will face off against Colgate in the NCAA Tournament.
“It’s about five hours and 45 minutes. It’s 373 miles. As far as construction right now, it’s pretty good. I would travel through Cincinnati and not around it because that tends to be where the road construction is right now,” said Anna Escott, with AAA.
The next step is finding a place to stay. AAA checked hotel prices in the area.
“In the downtown area, everything is running around about $265 and up. There’s still a fair amount of availability, but it’s starting to dwindle. There’s not as much. On the outskirts, it’s running more around $135,” Escott said.
According to utsports.com, University of Tennessee students can request NCAA Tournament tickets via bigorangetix.com. They say Vivid Seats is the official Tennessee Athletics ticket resale marketplace.
“It’s always advisable to get your car checked, the tires, air in them,” said Escott.
That’s the last piece of advice from the travel agents, and don’t forget to pack plenty of orange.
