The University of Tennessee announced Thursday a Fan Day would be held on August 5, two days after the start of fall football practice.

Head Coach Jeremy Pruitt said earlier this year the autograph session normally held the day of the Orange and White Game would be moved to a date in early August during fall camp. The university said at the time it would give fans the chance to watch the Vols practice inside Neyland Stadium.

Following the practice, fans will have the chance to meet players and coaches, as well as get their autographs. Information about ticketing and other details have not yet been announced.

The university also announced Pruitt would deliver his season-opening press conference on August 2 with the first fall practice to follow on August 3.

The first game of the season will be on September 1 against West Virginia at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. It will be the first time the Vols and Mountaineers face off in school history.
