It’s an incredibly exciting time on Rocky Top right now. The men’s basketball team is gearing up for the NCAA Tournament.
While it seems all of Vol Nation is cheering loud and proud for their athletes, one East Tennessee couple has stood by the team through the highs and the lows.
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then the Browns’ pictures do all the talking. It’s crystal clear Judy Brown and her husband Earl bleed orange. An entire room in their house is even dedicated to the Vols.
“We have football, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball and volleyball season tickets,” said Judy Brown.
Judy Brown’s favorite sport is men’s basketball but said it’s impossible to say who her favorite player is.
“It’s like do you have a favorite child? There’s some aspects you might like, but no. I like every last one of them,” said Judy Brown.
Her dedication runs just as deep as her love for the team. She’s been to every home and away match up this season, and has only missed a handful of games in the last decade plus.
“Fantastic to see their improvement. To just watch them gel,” said Judy.
So you better believe Friday’s matchup against Colgate is one she and her husband aren’t missing.
She’s feeling optimistic but taking it one game at a time, spreading a message to the guys on the court, as well as those cheering them on.
“Tennessee nation is behind you. And I hope that everyone will wear their bright orange to show the guys that they’re there for them,” said Judy Brown.
And just to prove Judy Brown’s superfan status, after she finished speaking with WATE 6 On Your Side, she was planning on going to the UT baseball game Tuesday night.
