Vols cap off Signing Day with celebration

Knoxville, TENN. (WATE) – In much the same way they closed the early signing period, Tennessee finished the end of National Signing Day with a flourish. The Vols added three commits Wednesday, including 5-Star offensive tackle Darnell Wright (Huntington, W.V.) to push their recruiting class up to 12th in the 247 Sports Composite Rankings.

The Vols also added 4-Star linebacker Henry To’oto’o from California, who picked Tennessee over Alabama and Washington, and 3-Star cornerback Kenney Solomon from Myrtle Beach, S.C. to round out their 23 commit class.

After a strong start to the early signing period in December, Tennessee finished that week with additions by 4-Star athlete Quavaris Crouch (Charlotte, N.C.) and 4-Star running back Eric Gray (Memphis, TN.), the state’s first three-time Mr. Football winner.

Tennessee’s strong recruiting class par for the course in the SEC. The top 11 teams in the conference recruiting rankings all finishing within the top 24 nationally.
