A Cessna Citation plane that was flying from Elizabethton, TN, to Long Island Macarthur Airport crashed in an area of mountainous terrain in southwest Virginia. F-16 planes from Joint Base Andrews scrambled after an aircraft temporarily entered restricted airspace, which caused a sonic boom that could be heard in the Washington DC Metro area.

State lawmakers and performers alike are talking about the recent ruling made by a federal judge, who ruled that Tennessee’s law restricting drag performances is unconstitutional after a Memphis organization challenged the law, according to court documents.

Three people were seriously injured after a boat exploded at Concod Marina Boat Ramp, according to Rural Metro Fire. TWRA reported that there was a fourth person who was also injured, and the three that were seriously injured were taken to a hospital before eventually being life flighted to Vanderbilt Burn Center.

Blount County Fire Department responded to a fire at Green Acres Flea Market in Louisville, which is in Blount County. Chief Butch Campbell said the fire was under control around 10 a.m. Sunday morning, and while there were no flames, there were still some hot spots. Blount County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what caused the fire.
