After a mild morning, expect warm afternoon sunshine and shower or two.

  • Thursday: (10%) stray shower chance. A mix of sunshine and clouds. High: 85°.
  • Friday: (30%) spotty afternoon and evening thunderstorms. Partly Cloudy. High: 82°.

Looking ahead to later today, there is a very slim chance for a shower or thunderstorm, mainly over the Smokies. Partly sunny skies continue Thursday with highs in the mid 80s.

Rain chances will increase some for Friday as a weak weather disturbance nears. This will bring spotty showers and thunderstorms, some of which may include locally heavy rainfall.  The Smokies will again be the most likely place for this.

Spotty showers and thunderstorms continue into the weekend as well. It is not a wash-out this weekend, but hit-or-miss storms will be possible both Saturday and Sunday. Rain and storms will become more widespread Sunday night into Monday as a low-pressure system moves through.

Showers and thunderstorms continue into Monday due to elevated levels of moisture, with some locally heavy rain possible. It is cooler for the start of next week with highs in the low 80s. Rain chances look slightly lower late Tuesday into Wednesday.
