Wind and some storms roll through overnight, but the entire weekend won’t be a washout.

  • Tonight (AWARE): Mostly cloudy, breezy, and mild with scattered showers and some storms moving through in the early morning hours (60%). Low: 61°.
  • Saturday (AWARE Early A.M.): Some lingering early morning showers/storms (60%), then windy through the afternoon. High: 76°.
  • Saturday Night: Mostly clear and quiet. Low: 48°.
  • Sunday: Mostly sunny and pleasant. High: 74.

It will remain mostly cloudy breezy and mild overnight as lows only dip into the lower 60s. We will be Weather AWARE though as scattered showers and some storms will roll through during the early morning hours. Some of these could produce damaging wind gusts as they move through.

The more likely areas to see this threat will be along the Plateau, but everyone has at least a low-end chance, so please make sure you have multiple ways to receive any alerts in case any are issued as these will move through while most people are sleeping.

The storm threat will end early Saturday morning, but the winds will remain quite gusty into the afternoon hours. In fact, some areas could see winds 20-40mph with higher gusts. Winds in the higher elevations of the Smokies could gust between 60-70mph which is why a High Wind Warning has been issued there.

There is a slight chance of a random rain shower lingering into the early afternoon, but most will remain dry with decreasing afternoon clouds and highs in the mid-70s.

The clouds will continue to thin out overnight Saturday into early Sunday and temperatures will fall off into the mid to upper 40s for most.

Sunday looks stellar for any outdoor plans as we are expecting more sunshine and highs in the low to mid-70s for most.

There will be more clouds moving in overnight Sunday into early Monday with a slight chance for a few light rain showers or sprinkles for some, but most areas appear as though they will remain dry.

We will start the work-week with a variably cloudy sky and highs in the lower 70s, but some cooler air filters in for Tuesday and Wednesday. Afternoon readings these days will be back closer to seasonable levels with low to mid-60s, but the mornings will be on the cooler side with some low to mid-40s.

Clouds return Thursday along with warmer temperatures in the upper 60s and some scattered showers are looking a little more likely overnight Thursday into next Friday, the last day of March.
