KNOXVILLE (WATE) – November marks the biggest global men’s “beauty” event in the calendar year.
Of course, there’s more than just achieving a dashing rugged look. The aim of #NoShaveNovember is to create cancer awareness and raise funds to support cancer prevention, research and education. The emphasis on the facial hair is for participants to embrace their hair, that cancer patients would otherwise lose during treatment.
More: Donate for #NoShaveNovember
This year the WATE 6 Storm Team is dropping their razors for the entire month to help East Tennesssee Children’s Hospital. The money raised will go to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital’s Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic which treats children diagnosed with cancer or blood disorders.
So how does it work? Easy, skip the razor for the entire month of November and donate the money you saved on grooming to cancer prevention or research. Not only do you save precious snooze time in the morning, you also forgo clogging your bathroom sink or spending money at the barbers!
Looking good and supporting a great cause– sounds like a win-win situation to us. Happy No-Shave November!
